Brittany (she/her) is a Clinical Psychology Registrar holding qualifications in a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Hons Class I) from the University of Queensland, and a Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of Southern Queensland.
Brittany has experience working across the lifespan in a variety of mental health settings such as within the public hospital system, community organisations, and private practice. Brittany currently has capacity for new adult clients.
Brittany believes that the relationship that you foster with your psychologist is a crucial part of therapy and the healing process. She understands how daunting it can be to see a therapist for the first time, or to retell your story to a new person. Brittany utilises a friendly, warm and compassionate approach to help you to feel comfortable, and takes the time necessary to get to know you and understand your life experiences. She believes that it is a privilege to work alongside you to help you achieve your goals.
Areas of Interest:
Brittany utilises a range of evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Brittany aims to tailor therapy to the needs of each individual and draw on their unique strengths and resources.
When Brittany is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her partner, friends and family. She loves connecting with nature, bush walking, eating delicious food, and going travelling.
