Rachel Room

Rachel (she/her) is a Clinical Psychologist with over ten years of experience working in private practice. Rachel has worked in both the public system and the education system, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Postgraduate diploma in Psychology and Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of Canberra.

Rachel works with her clients to help them identify and shift long-held patterns in their thoughts and behaviours that may be contributing to interpersonal difficulties and impacting their mood in their day-to-day life. Rachel uses a warm and open approach to create a safe and compassionate space for her clients.

Rachel uses a range of evidence-based interventions including cognitive behaviour therapy, schema therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, solution focused therapy, and EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing).

As a board approved supervisor, Rachel can offer professional development supervision for other psychologists. She has STAP accreditation and has worked with a range of counsellors and psychologists over time to support their learning needs through supervision.
